Case of cooperation with a certain chemical factory in Indonesia.

When our factory was expanding its business in the international market, it targeted the regions with booming chemical industries in Southeast Asia. Indonesia is one of the key markets. Through industry reports, trade shows, and other channels, we learned that a chemical factory in Indonesia was looking for a reliable pump equipment supplier to upgrade some of its aging liquid-transfer systems with potential safety hazards.

 

We took the initiative to contact this chemical factory and introduced our factory's professional capabilities and rich experience in the production of magnetic pumps, including successful cases of serving the global chemical industry over the years. At the same time, we expressed our hope to provide customized solutions for them.

 

Customer Demand Analysis

 

Medium and Working Condition Research: After in-depth communication with the engineers and technicians of the chemical factory, we identified their specific requirements. The factory needs to transport a variety of chemical media, including highly corrosive acidic solutions (such as sulfuric acid of different concentrations used in some fertilizer production processes), alkaline solutions (sodium hydroxide solution used for treating industrial wastewater), and flammable and explosive organic solvents (such as ethyl acetate used in paint production). Moreover, the working conditions for transporting these media are complex, with the temperature ranging from normal temperature to nearly 100 °C and the pressure requirement between 0.5 - 2 MPa.

 

Performance and Safety Requirements: There are extremely high requirements for the stability of flow and pressure. For example, in the polymerization reaction during synthetic rubber production, the transportation volume of raw materials needs to be precisely controlled, and the flow error should be within ±3%. Since dangerous chemicals are involved, there are strict requirements for the non-leakage performance and safety of the equipment. Any leakage may lead to serious safety accidents and environmental pollution. In addition, the factory hopes that the new equipment can have lower maintenance costs and a longer service life to improve production efficiency and reduce operating costs.

 

Product Recommendation and Customization Scheme

 

Product Selection Basis: Based on the customer's requirements, we recommended several high-performance magnetic pumps from our factory to them. For the transportation of corrosive media, we recommended magnetic pumps with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). PTFE has excellent corrosion resistance and can effectively resist the erosion of acidic and alkaline solutions. The pump body is made of Hastelloy alloy, which provides high strength and high-temperature resistance. For the transportation of flammable and explosive organic solvents, we emphasized the non-leakage sealing structure of our magnetic pumps. A double-layer isolation sleeve design is adopted, with the outer layer being made of metal material to enhance strength and the inner layer being made of high-performance ceramic material to ensure sealing.

 

Customization Design: Considering the different pipeline connection sizes of the customer and the space limitations of on-site installation, we provided customized inlet and outlet pipe diameters and pump body shape designs. For the selection of the motor, according to the required flow and pressure range, an energy-efficient and explosion-proof motor was matched, and a frequency-conversion speed - the regulation device was equipped to facilitate the customer to accurately control the flow and pressure according to the actual production situation.

 

Technical Exchange and Product Demonstration

 

Technical Detail Communication: Professional technical teams were arranged to hold multiple technical exchange meetings with the chemical factory. During the meetings, the working principle of the magnetic pump was explained in detail, especially how the magnetic-coupling transmission technology realizes non-contact power transmission, thus avoiding the problem of shaft-seal leakage in traditional pumps. At the same time, the selection basis of pump body materials, test data of corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance, as well as our quality control system and production process were introduced in depth.

 

On-site Demonstration: Representatives of the chemical factory were invited to our factory's test center for an on-site product demonstration. During the demonstration process, the actual working conditions of the customer were simulated, and different temperature, pressure, and medium conditions were set to show the stable operation of the magnetic pump under various complex situations. Through high-precision flow and pressure monitoring equipment, the advantages of our products in flow control accuracy and pressure stability were presented intuitively.

 

Business Negotiation and Contract Signing

 

Price and Value Explanation: During the business negotiation, the composition of our product price was explained in detail to the customer. It was emphasized that although our price might be slightly higher than some of our competitors, it was based on our high-quality materials, advanced technology research and development investment, strict quality inspection process, and perfect after-sales service system. Together with the customer, the long-term value brought by adopting our magnetic pumps in reducing leakage accident losses, improving production efficiency, and reducing maintenance costs was analyzed.

 

Contract Clause Negotiation: After several rounds of negotiations, an agreement was finally reached on terms such as price, delivery period, payment method, quality assurance, and after-sales service. In terms of price, a price list acceptable to both parties was determined according to the customization requirements and product quantity. The delivery period was determined to be in batches within 3 months after the contract was signed according to the customer's progress with the project. The payment method was 30% prepaid, 50% paid before shipment, and 20% as a quality guarantee deposit to be paid after the expiration of the quality guarantee period. In terms of quality assurance, we promised to provide an 18-month quality guarantee period, and during the quality guarantee period, free repair or replacement of faults caused by quality problems would be provided. The after-sales service terms include providing 24-hour online technical support, regularly visiting customers, and establishing a certain-scale spare - -parts depot in Indonesia to ensure a rapid response to customers' maintenance needs.

 

Production and Delivery

 

Production Process Supervision: After the contract was signed, the production department immediately started the production process. During the production process, quality control was strictly carried out in accordance with the quality management system. There were detailed quality records from the inspection of raw material procurement to the processing and assembly of each component part. The processing accuracy of key components was detected multiple times, such as the assembly gap of the magnetic coupler, the dynamic balance of the impeller, etc., to ensure that each magnetic pump met high-quality standards.

 

Delivery and Installation Guidance: According to the delivery schedule, the magnetic pumps were safely transported to the Indonesian chemical factory in batches. At the same time, a professional installation engineer team was dispatched to the site to guide the installation. The installation engineers guided the installation personnel of the customer to position the pump body and connect pipes, and wire electrically according to the pre-formulated installation plan. During the installation process, some easily overlooked details, such as pipe support and vibration-damping measures, were emphasized to ensure the installation quality.

 

After-sales Follow - up and Customer Feedback

 

After-sales Maintenance and Support: After the magnetic pumps were put into use, our after-sales team continued to follow up. Through the remote monitoring system and regular on-site visits, the operation data of the magnetic pumps were collected, including parameters such as flow, pressure, temperature, and vibration. A customer equipment file was established, and the operation situation of each pump was recorded and analyzed in detail. When the customer encountered problems, fault diagnosis could be quickly carried out according to these data, and solutions could be provided in a timely manner.

 

Customer Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Regular communication with the chemical factory was carried out to collect their feedback on the use of the magnetic pumps. The customer was very satisfied with the non-leakage performance and flow-pressure control accuracy of our products, effectively avoiding safety accidents and improving product quality. However, some improvement suggestions were also put forward, such as the heat dissipation problem of the motor in a high-temperature environment. Based on the customer feedback, we continuously improved the product, developed a new motor heat dissipation scheme, and applied it to the subsequent product upgrades, further improving product performance and customer satisfaction.
